Shipibo hand carved gourd rattle with handle created by Fernando, an indigenous artist from the Shipibo community. His indigenous tribe lives in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru. Shaman rattles are an important component to a variety of ceremonies. This unique instrument is inspired by an Icaros ‘medicine song’ and mother ayahuasca. The snake tree is also represented, which Fernando shared that the tree provides protection for us.
