ABOUT GLOBAL INDIGENOUS CRAFTS

We are a small family with origins in Latin America rooted in indigenous traditions and have lived and travelled extensively throughout the world. These global experiences continue to give us the opportunity to connect and nurture authentic relationships with artisans. Supporting local indigenous artists and cultivating relationships is our passion.

With the recent launch of Global Indigenous Crafts, we chose to begin our focus on artisans from the Amazon and Sacred Valley of Peru. Peru is a vast and diverse country, most famous for Machu Pichu. It’s a country that boasts a variety of landscapes, from mountains to beaches to deserts to rainforests. Within this region of extremes, art has been an important part of its culture for thousands of years dating back to pre-Inca times. Today, artisans continue to carry on their rich cultural traditions and infuse contemporary interpretations into their work.
