Description
Handwoven, naturally dyed, two-strap bag made from sheep’s wool. This beautiful bag is designed and handwoven by Miriam, an indigenous Quechua artist from the community of Chinchero, Peru. She is a weaver who continues to follow a rich tradition from the Andes highlands that has been passed down for generations. Miriam follows the traditional methods of washing, dying, spinning, and weaving sheep’s yarn into textiles of complex colors, designs, and forms. The yarn is dyed with natural colorants that are sourced locally. Each piece is authentic and handmade following the rich traditions from her culture.
